At National AutoGlass & Mirror, we guarantee the quality of our work and materials every step of the way! Every windshield is warranted against leaks and factory defects nationwide for as long as you own your car.
Our 12-Point Installation Checklist
- Complete vehicle inspection prior to installation
- Use care to prevent damage and maintain vehicle cleanliness by placing protective covering on/in vehicle as required
- Remove moldings, clips, windshield wipers, cowling, etc., as needed
- Use Full Cut-Out method, removing old adhesive to approximately 1/16” thickness as specified by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM)
- Use proper high performance urethane adhesive to meet specifications of car’s manufacturer and safe drive-away time requirements
- Install windshield that meets or exceeds the OEM specifications of your car’s manufacturer and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
- Install moldings, clips, windshield wipers etc., replacing with new parts as needed
- Test connections affected by the install (washer hose, antenna, heating elements, and wipers to ensure proper positioning…etc.)
- Vacuum any leftover glass and debris from vehicle
- Perform final vehicle inspection
- Review safe drive-away time recommendation based on the type of urethane applied and environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) with customer
- Review warranty info and auto glass care instructions
